Spoon Fork
How old was your toddler when he or she started using a spoon and or fork?
my son is almost 15 months old and i bought some toddler forks but i haven't let him try the spoons by himself yet because i don't think hes quite ready yet. when did your toddler start using a spoon and fork by his or her self?
My son is 17 months old and we let him use a fork and spoon, supervised, for about 3 months now. We started out just letting him hold it while we ate, now we are progressing to showing him how to pick up food with the fork or spoon and guide it into his mouth. He does get a bit messy but so what.
If your son is showing interest in using utensils, let him.
