What does a red black green "allusion" mean?

In the kidnap poem by Nikki Giovanni what does i would wrap you in red Black and green mean? My teacher said it was an a-l-l allusion??

An allusion is making reference to something well-known without necessarily specifically mentioning it. Think: Taylor Swift's song where she mentions a scarlet letter, making reference to Hawthorne's novel. In this case, "wrap you in the red black and green" makes reference to the Pan-African flag (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan-African_flag ). Giovanni is basically saying she would surround the reader with her heritage and culture (African American).
