Does underfloor heating & knotty pine doors cause problems?
We are looking at getting these for our self build, but our builder has heard that the heating causes the knots to fall out.
Has anyone experienced this?
The infloor heating can cause your floor to dry out unless you have humidity control in your home. If the hardwoods heat from below it will cause the wood to contract and expand excessively which can cause the knots to break loose from the flooring. You are better off with heat that circulates more liberally around the room.
