Any recommendations for instrumental music?
I'm going to need to slap on some headphones because I'll be studying in public places this year and I get distracted easily--I also can't study well when I hear lyrics. I'm looking for songs or albums, but especially albums--give a little detail about your recco.
Make any recco you want, but try to figure on things that are easy to get (might be at a public library), and you might consider my favorite music below (in no particular order):
Elvis Costello, Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Ass Ponys, Nirvana, The Breeders, Tracy Bonham, Sleater-Kinney, Suzanne Vega, The White Stripes, The Strokes, Cake, Sublime, Weezer, Joan Osborne, Lucinda Williams, Alison Krauss, Harvey Danger, Kings of Leon, Elliot Smith, The Beatles, Ben Folds, No Doubt, Aimee Mann, Queens of the Stone Age, Tori Amos
I think mellow would be a good idea too, note if your recco is mellow.
you should look into explosions in the sky. their popular one is "your hand in mine", as it was on the friday night lights soundtrack, but their stuff is really great. i like to listen to it when i'm doing work or studying. but yeah, try them out
