Is it illegal in the State of Oregon for a minor to be in possession of a lighter?
My son goes hiking on a regular basis and I always make sure he has his lighter with him, in his case, his Zippo. He is 16 years old and often carries his lighter and other supplies when he goes walking/hiking. It is on his belt in sight for anyone to see, which is the law in the case of him carrying his knife as well. I was told that by a store clerk yesterday that he would be arrested if he were to be found with a lighter by a police officer. What is the deal with this?
