Knife to get while in Marine Infantry?
I go to boot soon, and my parents were going to get my a Ka Bar if and once I graduate boot. Since Ill be infantry they thought it would be a good idea but am wondering are you allowed to have knives and are they issued? If not whats a good kind of knife to get and what type?
Following boot camp, it should be permissable to have your own ka-bar, which is still the combat knife of choice for the Marines.. Get the leather handle version, this is the most authentic.
Declare this as a personal weapon when you land in a unit, this way it won't be absconded by the powers to be.
