a chain of events has been set into motion by my step-son's mother (long story) i have to add him to my health insurance policy through work depsite the fact that she already has insurance for him. we know for a fact by her own admission that she steals his aderol on occassion. can we legally refuse to assist/pay with his copays because of this?

No. You will be in violation of the court order (I assume, without reading it). You can report her to the police for taking a controlled substance without a Rx. The value may be more than $250 for the pills, not the copay. That would be a felony. Proving it will be the issue.
